Game day is here for the Browns hosting the Giants. The injury report is out and it looks like Jed Wills will get his first start since week 8 of last season. This is extremely positive news considering Conklin is back on the injury report with a hamstring designation. A few other notable inactives are WR Jamari Thrash and TE David Njoku. It was expected that we would be without Njoku for at least this week. Personally, I was hoping to see Thrash get some action with Bell being out for the season. Maybe this can finally be a coming-out party for Tillman. On the other hand, Brian Burns is active for the Giants. He originally popped up on the injury report Friday. It is possible he could be on some type of a snap count.
Getting any win in the NFL is hard, but the Browns should be able to handle their business against the winless Giants. If the Browns come out strong, they have the chance to break this team that seems to already be at a boiling point. Winning the turnover battle will be important in this match-up. I think turnovers are the only way the Giants are able to stay in the game. Do what it takes to stop Nabers. He is clearly their best player—the secondary need to know where he is at all times. The Browns did not do well against Ceedee Lamb a couple of weeks ago when there was a clear go-to target. The offense needs to build on the successes they had against the Jags. Continue to run the ball. The Browns found a pretty nice balance between Foreman and Ford last week. The Giants’ secondary will be one of, if not the worst the Browns will see this year. The Giants’ DC, Shane Bowen, was the Titian’s DC last year. Watson had one of his better games as a Cleveland Brown against his defense. We are the better team, let’s show it! I have the Browns winning 31-13.
