The Browns are back in Berea after returning from the Greenbrier Friday and having the day off Saturday. By all accounts, it looked like the Browns had an AWESOME day on the field. However, let’s start by looking at the injury report:
- Foreman is not in concussion protocol. It is unclear when he will return.
- Elijah Moore is “working his way through concussion protocol.” He probably has to clear tests multiple days in a row.
- Ronnie Hickman practiced after missing Friday.
- JOK, Shelby Harris, and Tony Fields have missed multiple days
- No players came off the PUP list
- Two big returns: Myles Garrett and Jerry Jeudy
Watson had a great day throwing the football all over the field. For about an hour the timeline was filled with passes from 4. Most notable was his connection with Jerry Jeudy. Watson hit Jeudy over the middle allowing him to work up the field. On the last play of the day, Watson hit Jeudy again for a deep pass that would have put the Browns at about the 1-yard line. I am very excited to see the role that Jeudy will play on this team. He has big-play ability that the Browns have been missing. On the defensive side, Ward picked off Watson after Darden was able to get behind him earlier in practice.
I also want to mention there have been many reports that Dorian Thompson-Robinson looks very solid in his second year. It is very interesting because the Browns will have to keep him as the third quarterback on the roster. How AB and Stefanski figure out the 53-man roster is going to be fun to watch.
Shoutout to Camryn Justice for the compilation of Watson’s throws!
