The Browns are signing former Bears running back, D’Onta Foreman. It will most likely be a 1-year deal worth a couple of million. Possibly incentive-driven. The Browns will be Foreman’s 5th team since entering the league in 2017. While Foreman has bounced around the league, he has been productive when he has needed to step in. Two years ago with the Panthers, Foreman almost hit 1,000 yards finishing the season with 914. He started 9 games that year. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry. Last year he rushed 109 times for 425 yards. However, I think we all know that Bears offense struggled to do much throughout the year. If the Browns can get 2022 D’Onta Foreman, it will be a great signing as we wait for the return of Chubb.
What does the mean for the running back room? Here are the running backs currently under contract.
- Chubb
- Ford
- Hines
- Foreman
- Strong
- Kelly Jr.
- I thought for sure they would draft a running back. It is not looking likely at this point.
- Does Chubb start on the PUP? Yes, make sure he is 100%
- Do they try to trade Ford or Strong? Both are on cheap deals. I do not see both of them making the 53-man roster with the addition of Hines and Foreman.
