Posted in this article is the Browns current roster and practice squad. The Browns having four quarterbacks and two running backs was a surprise for most people. It seems the Browns have not been able to find a trade partner for Huntley. Hopefully, a team will get separate and offer a late-round pick. The Browns could play the waiting game to see if any injuries happen in week one. I just don’t see any scenario where Winston or DTR are traded. A team would need to offer a ridiculous value for either. Chubb will be on the PUP list and will most likely return in week 5. We still do not have a timeline for Nyheim Hines’s return. Forman will soon be on the 53-man roster or will be elevated from the practice squad until they move on from Huntley. Another note was that Javion Cohen made the roster as a UDFA. A nice trend AB has going for him.
The DT room was always going to be the story of the defense. After one season the Browns have let go of 3rd-round pick Siaki Ika. It was a decision that had to be made. Also, the Browns chose to bring back Jowon Briggs on the practice squad over Ika. The other story was rookie, Michael Hall was placed on the Commissioner’s list as we wait to see the result of his arrest at the beginning of August. I have heard from sources that his girlfriend recanted some of her statements. He does have a court date after the Cowboys game. This could bring some clarity to the situation. Other notes come from the secondary. The Browns have three solid special teams corners on their practice squad Tony Brown, Justin Hardee Jr, and Mike Ford Jr. Finally, D’Anthony Bell made the roster without playing during training camp due to an injury.
We will be on the lookout for the Browns to fill the rest of their practice squad and make any addition moves to the roster. Go Browns!
